The MAX6388XS28D2-T is a low-cost, low-power microprocessor supervisor IC (PMIC - Supervisors) and reset supervisor developed by Maxim Integrated Products. It is used for reset and power management in 3V to 5.5V systems where spatial savings is a priority. This chip serves as the primary power restart switch and the reset supervisor in a wide range of electronic equipment such as mobile phones, portable electronic devices, printer and handheld imager.

The MAX6388 is designed to ensure proper start-up and operation of such electronic systems. It monitors the power rails and during power-up, generates a reset pulse to ensure a reliable system restart. When the system is in operational state, the MAX6388 supervises the power rails and initiates a circuit reset if the supply transrgressing the upper or lower trip points. During the power-down, it disables the output devices and all other digital circuits.

It features a precision reset threshold, typically 4.625V (MAX6388S28D2-T); and a Watchdog period of 257s for stable operation.
