The MAX6464XR46+T is a family of voltage supervisors that provide improved accuracy, accuracy over temperature, and enhanced protection from destructive overvoltage conditions. It joins MAX’s family of low-voltage, low-current, high-accuracy voltage supervisors.
The MAX6464XR46+T is a single-channel voltage supervisor that monitors one power-supply input and provides active-low reset and reset-status-interrupt signals. It operates with either a single or dual supply, between 2.3V to 5.5V and is fully specified over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.The MAX6464XR46+T promises amazing flexibility in voltage-detection designs with the ability to configure 64 different combination of VIN_th, VOUT, POR, and reset delay protocol.The Multiple-Threshold System with foldback system offers customers significant cost savings by allowing them to use a single supervisor IC instead of multiple ICs with different trip-point thresholds.
The MAX6464XR46+T offers excellent accuracy and excellent accuracy over temperature as compared to its nearest competitors.It provides well-defined reset thresholds, making it perfect for systems that require very low to moderate current consumption and high accuracy.It has programmable reset delay and timeout features that enable customers to create power-up and power-down sequences, as well as time-out safety features for battery-operated systems.

The MAX6464XR46+T operation is based on a comparator using a voltage reference, which is configurable via the device\'s register. The supervisor continuously monitors the voltage on its input, VIN, and will generate the reset signal when VIN is higher than its warning and reset thresholds or < VIN < its reset threshold, depending on the delay configuration. Additionally, the device provides an active low interrupt signal to allow the microcontroller to enter a low-power state when the input voltage is too low.
