Working Principle

The internal voltage reference circuit of the MAX6705ASKA+T provides an ultra-accurate and stable 12V threshold voltage. The external capacitor connected in parallel with the MAX6705ASKA+T is used to set the reset trip point, which can be set to any voltage from 2.5V to 26V in 0.25V increments. When the voltage of the system falls below the reset trip point, the MAX6705ASKA+T will assert the reset signal and return the system to normal operation. The reset delay time of the MAX6705ASKA+T is factory-programmed to guarantee a reset valid voltage and reset delay. An active-low reset signal is output when a reset condition is detected, indicating that the system is not operating within the normal operating window.
