The MAX6711SEXS+T is a multi-channel, digital-input supervisor devices that feature three open-drain outputs for active-high or active-low systems. It is designed for monitoring several power supplies, detecting power-up and power-down, and providing a reset pulse from devices with long reset-out delays. The MAX6711SEXS+T devices provide several thresholds for monitoring voltage levels to predict power failure, and contain circuitry for tracking the power-up sequence of multiple supplies.

The MAX6711SEXS+T supervisor operates from a 2.5 V (±5%) to 6 V (±3%) supply, and produces an active-low reset signal with a three-level reset-out pulse width on the reset_ output. The reset signal remains low until the reset threshold is reached and is then pulled high. The reset signal then remains high until the reset threshold is reached and the reset signal is then pulled low. The reset_ output is also delayed by two power-on reset delay times, either fast (7 ms) or slow (100 ms).

The MAX6711SEXS+T supervisor also provides an enable input, EN_, to enable or disable reseting. The enable input can be used to force a reset signal, or to allow the resetting logic to be cleared and the reset signal returned low until conditions are detected again. In addition to supervising the power-up and power-down of multiple supplies, the MAX6711SEXS+T supervisor also monitors voltage levels in order to detect premature power failure. When the reset threshold is exceeded, the supervisor will drive the reset_ output high, asserting a reset pulse that can be used by other devices in the system to reset their logic. The supervisor also contains circuitry to track the power-up sequence of multiple supplies, allowing it to detect undervoltage conditions even after the power-up sequence has completed.
