The MAX6747KA31+TSupervisors is an advanced PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) solution featuring configurable sequence, high accuracy voltage monitoring and system reset. It is capable of handling the input power sources ranging from directly connected batteries to 8V DC-DC converters. It is designed to detect voltage fluctuations due to input power interruption as well as under-voltage/over-voltage conditions in the input power supply. The MAX6747KA31+T is also capable of providing watchdog functions to monitor the system\'s power status and system failure conditions.
The MAX6747KA80+T Supervisors integrate sophisticated power control techniques that allow for maximum power efficiency. The PMIC is powered by a buck or boost regulator, making it extremely efficient and reliable in the event of power interruptions. The Regulator for the MAX6747KA80+T Supervisors has an adjustable frequency range of 0.5 to 3.5MHz, allowing it to adjust power requirements based on the system\'s needs.
The MAX6747KA31+TSupervisors features advanced features such as on/off control, power-on reset, reset output control and reset timeout configuration. The Supervisors also includes a DAC and a comparator block, allowing the user to configure a fixed voltage reference point. The user can program the DAC to provide the fixed voltage reference point, and the comparator block will detect voltage differences and output a reset signal when the voltage goes below or above the pre-programmed voltage level.
The MAX6747KA31+TSupervisors also offers an external analog input for voltage monitoring and system monitoring. This allows for current monitoring of higher accuracy in order to detect under-voltage/over-voltage conditions. An external input can be used for system monitoring, such as for reporting on power interruption. The power control portion of the Supervisors provides two channels—one for a 1A buck regulator and one for a 1A boost regulator, allowing the user to switch between power sources if necessary.
The MAX6747KA31+TSupervisors \'System Reset\' feature has three parameters that can be programmed: a length of time during which the reset is active (RESET Time), a delay time before the reset occurs (Delay Time), and a voltage level to determine the fail threshold (Fail Threshold). The RESET Time and Delay Time can be adjusted either by jumpers on the board or by reprogramming via I2C. The Fail Threshold can be adjusted via the DAC. The highest accuracy in the System Reset feature is enabled when an external voltage reference is used.
