It offers overcurrent and short circuit protection, an input undervoltage monitor, a system reset, a continuous watchdog timer with three window options, an adjustable delay timer, and a manual reset source. Additionally, the MAX6858UK31D5+T has tight reset threshold accuracy (±1%) and low reset delay (max. 60ms). The MAX6858UK31D5+T evaluates the following conditions to decide when to deassert the reset signal: VBATT input voltage, external supply (MDEBUG), internal VDD supply voltage, watchdog timer (WDT), and delay timer (DT). This process is repeated on a continuous basis while the system is in operation. This helps to ensure the accuracy of the system, as it is able to detect and respond to changes in the system conditions much faster than with traditional supervised circuits.
