The reset pulse is issued in two forms: Low-voltage PTC activation and Delay Reset timer. The LOW-voltage PTC activation generates a maintained low voltage reset signal when the system fails to supply desired voltage levels whereas the Delay Timer reset does the same after a preset delay period. This ensures proper resetting of the system ensuring safety and reliability.
In addition to low-voltage PTC activation, the MAX690SESA+T comes with a wide range of features for increased safety for electronic devices. Its features include power-on reset, electronic circuit breaker and a watchdog timer.
