PMICs supervise the supply voltages and report abnormal state of power to the system controller. The MAX706CSA+ is a family of PMICs designed to provide maximum power safety and reliability for a wide range of consumer and industrial applications. Working Principle

The MAX706CSA+ also offers a few other features. This allows the reset to stay active for a specified amount of time, before allowing the power supply to start up again.The MAX706CSA+ also offers very low start-up current consumption and a very small package size, allowing it to be used in the most demanding power management applications.Finally, the MAX706CSA+ also has a built-in low pulse-width detector (LPD) which can detect short pulses with a duration of less than 10µs and generate a reset signal with a minimum reset pulse width of 30µs. This is particularly useful for ensuring that the system does not reset too quickly after a fault.
