It is capable of providing excellent low-ripple supplies with a quiescent current of less than 150µA, and typically less than 100µA. The low quiescent current level guarantees low power system performances even in difficult environment where the power supply must remain on for prolonged periods of time.The MAX792TCSE+ features four programmable threshold levels. It incorporates an integrated low-power enable/disable control feature, which allows the user to choose an active or inactive mode. In the inactive mode the device works in a low-power standby mode, thus minimizing the quiescent current.The MAX792TCSE+ permitsthe monitoring of up to four supply rails in order to detect undervoltage/overvoltage conditions, and generate an out-of-threshold reset when necessary. The reset signal is compatible with the industry-standard Reset/Write Cycle protocol.The built-in Delay Line generator provides Start-up and Reset pulse widths of 40ms, 80ms, 160ms, 320ms, and 640ms. This is ideal for embedded systems and other applications where long reset pulses may be required.The MAX792TCSE+ is well suited for embedded system design, where it can be used to supervise power systems, and to monitor two independent power supplies that each has its own regulation point.
