It intelligently manages outputs, tracks power sources, and helps ensure system safety when switching between a battery and mains power source. Primarily intended for use in battery-powered devices, it is ideally suited to applications where simultaneously combining high efficiency, minimal circuit footprint, and multiple input power options are necessary. The MAX8677AETG+ includes efficient, dual-level charge control, safety timer, low battery voltage protection (LVP), temperature protection, and open-drain status output. Its integrated linear regulator provides a low-dropout with high output current capability and supply flexibility to power system devices. With support for safety features like Under Voltage Lock Out (UVLO), Over Current Protection (OCP), and Over Voltage Protection (OVP), the MAX8677AETG+ helps protect the battery from unexpected charging-related events.
