The MAX9320BESA+ is a clock buffer, driver, and switch crafted specifically to ensure reliable clock and timing signals are manufactured. It is part of popular MAX9320 family of clock solutions, intended to make state-of-the-art timing management easily reproducible and widespread. Its clock management utilities, including precision jitter attenuation, clock output dispersion control, and clock auto-detection routines are all functionally operational for most application fields.

In terms of configuration, the MAX9320BESA+ inherently offers an application friendly solution as each device contains two clock output pins and two clock input pins, as well as eight modes of operation that include a total of four output enable options. To keep the clock pulse’s frequency stable, the MAX9320BESA+ comes with a frequency division feature that can divide one clock signal into four different frequencies. To help adjust frequency, the MAX9320BESA+ includes an optional manual frequency tuning feature. This can be used to adjust clock output frequency directly without the need of inverting the clock signal. This feature is useful in applications where frequency tuning is required and where system resources are not available; this makes it an ideal feature for embedded systems.
