The MAX9320ESA+T is a high-performance, low-skew, low-jitter, clock distribution IP core, now available in a variety of platforms. It provides a low-cost, easy-to-use solution for distributing a clock signal from one source to multiple destinations without introducing unnecessary delay and distortion. The devices are ideal for applications requiring multiple clock sources or high resolution clock devices.

This clock driver IP core includes a main-clock input buffer, a fanout buffer, a multiplexer, and a configurable fractional-N PLL. The main-clock-input buffer accepts a single source clock and provides an ideal output clock signal with very low jitter, skew and timing errors. This output signal is processed by the fanout buffer and is then sent to the multiplexer. The multiplexer then splits the signal into multiple fractional clock signals. The fractional-N PLL can then be used to further reduce jitter, skew and timing errors when driving multiple downstream clock sources.

The MAX9320ESA+T is designed to be used in a wide variety of application fields and topologies. It can be used to drive multiple clocks from a single source, such as in the distribution of a system clock for broadcast video distribution applications.
