Linear-Comparators provide electronics engineers with an automated differential comparison of the two similar signals, turning the comparison into a numerical result. MAX9691ESA+T is a Linear-Comparator application that provides reliable operation and numerous features, giving engineers a vast array of design options across numerous applications.

The MAX9691ESA+T is an operational amplifier and comparator that combines programmable hysteresis and adjustable shutdown functions with high-speed operation and low power consumption. It includes two fixed-gain gain stages and one adjustable-gain stage. The adjustable stage is used to set up a desired comparator output voltage. It also has a quiescent current of 1.1µA, allowing engineers to monitor battery-powered applications for longer periods of time.

The MAX9691ESA+T uses a self-calibrated voltage reference for excellent accuracy and low supply current. This low current operation contributes to extended battery life in portable applications. It also features an adjustable gain stage via a simple external resistor network providing programmable hysteresis to minimize unwanted auto transitions. This allows the user to precisely adjust the output response time to meet the requirements of specific application needs.

The Linear-Comparator also includes a selectable shutdown mode. This allows the comparator to be powered down through a device pin following the input termination in order to save power.
