The MB9AF005PMC-G-SNE2 is an advanced embedded 16-bit microcontroller (MCU) targeted for intelligent 3-phase, brushless blower control applications. This MCU combines the advantages of the 8-bit MCS-51 and the 16-bit Renesas R8C/Tiny microcontrollers. It also enables users to develop advanced motor control systems with minimal external components.

The main features of the MB9AF005PMC-G-SNE2 include a 32K bytes built-in ROM for user application program, and 2K bytes RAM. It also consists of 61 I/O ports, 8 channels of 8-bit 8-level PWM (Pulse width modulation) outputs, 10 channels of input ports for external switches, 6 channels of 10-bit A/D converter, 1 channel of 7-bit S/D converter and two system clock oscillators. Additionally, it also offers magnetic current and velocity control, a speed/position control module, and a motion computing module.

Working Principle

It also has an on-chip motion computing engine, which is responsible for motion profiling, wave accelerator and motion control. The motion computing module can be used to control step speed, wait time and wave shape. The wave accelerator is used to simplify software development by providing built-in wave form generation functions. It also offers quadrature input and output interfaces, which enable users to control servo motors and brushless blowers accurately and efficiently. The PWM generator consists of eight 8-bit timer channels, each capable of delivering up to 8-level PWM output waveforms. The on-chip PWM generator makes it easier to control motor speed and power consumption.
