The MBRH240150 is a silicon epitaxial planar type ultrafast diode, built in a hermetically sealed TO-247 package. This device is mainly used in high frequency switching mode power supplies and DC-DC converters in order to convert ac input to dc output. It is also suitable for snubber circuits, free wheeling applications and general purpose rectification.

Application field and working principle

The MBRH240150 rectifier is suitable for high-voltage applications like AC to DC conversion, voltage regulation and current limitation, as it can handle high voltage up to 1500V, with a peak repetitive reverse voltage of 1250V. It has an ultra-fast switching time, which is ideal for high-frequency applications. It also has a low junction capacitance and a high forward current rating, with an maximum average forward rectified current of 10A.
