MC10H109MEL is a series of versatile, single-supply, exceptionally stable, low-voltage, rail-to-rail logic gates and inverters. The devices are highly configurable and deliver logic functionality, including a variety of dual-function types, over a wide range of supply voltages.This series of devices are ideal for portable consumer and communication products that require a combination of low power, low noise, and wide operating temperature ranges. With high voltage depth and configurable logic types, MC10H109MEL logic devices offer unparalleled flexibility in implementing specialized logic functions like level translators and custom logic applications.The MC10H109MEL devices are highly configurable and feature two input pins (A, B) and one output pin (Z). The two inputs can be used as inverters or as two separate functions such as NOR, OR, NAND, XNOR, and XOR. All functions can be selected by a single pin select (S).The device also contains the voltage range selection (VRS or VB) pin. This pin allows the user to select the supply voltage range: High Range (VH) from 2.7V to 10V or Low Range (VL) from 0.8V to 3V. This allows the user to further reduce the power consumption and increase the stability of the device when it is used with low-voltage supplies.The output of the device can also be set in either open-drain or push-pull output configuration. This can be useful in driving TTL outputs when using the device with multiple supply voltages. The levels of the output is determined by the device supply voltage. The MC10H109MEL devices also feature a inhibit (I) pin that when activated will force the output to the low state. This can be used as a “kill” switch and can be handy in applications with power management functions. The MC10H109MEL devices are very versatile and can be used to create all sorts of logic functions. They can be used to design logic and sequencing circuits, synchronous or asynchronous logic functions, arbiters, multiplexers and decoders, or even bus transceivers and converters.
