The MC78L05ABPM is a three-pin linear voltage regulator from ON Semiconductor that operates with a maximum current input of 100mA. The voltage regulator uses a reference voltage or a low-tolerance voltage device to provide the controlled voltage output. The output voltage is compared with the reference voltage in a feedback loop, and applied to the control circuit. The output voltage is regulated by varying the value of the differential voltage at the control circuit.The MC78L05ABPRM voltage regulator consists of a differential amplifier, a reference voltage generator, a low-tolerance voltage device, and a current sink/source.
