Introduction

The MCP112T-450E/LB is an integrated circuit designed for use as a voltage supervisor. Working Principle

The MCP112T-450E/LB works by monitoring the input voltage and comparing it to two threshold voltages: the Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO) threshold and the Overvoltage Lockout (OVLO) threshold. When the input voltage falls below the UVLO threshold, the voltage supervisor will shut down the power to its load. Similarly, when the input voltage rises above the OVLO threshold, the voltage supervisor will shut down the power to its load. The MCP112T-450E/LB is also equipped with an input voltage monitor pin (IOV) which is used to signal that the supply voltage has exceeded its OVLO limit.When the input voltage is between the two threshold voltages, the voltage supervisor will output a signal to the system monitor pin (MON) or the output enable pin (OE) to indicate that the system is operating in an expected power range.
