The MCP1501T-25E/SN is a Voltage Reference (VR), part of a system that provides reference linear or nonlinear signals that act as a reference when powering other devices. The MCP1501T-25E/SN offers low-power and high-power active output configurations. The low-power configuration provides a low-power operation (±18mA) at 2.5V output, while the high-power output configuration provides a high-power operation (±100mA) at a minimum output voltage of 4.5V.

The external resistor allows the output voltage to be adjusted anywhere between 0.9V to 15V. Additionally, the output can be placed in a high impedance state using the SHDN (Shutdown) feature. This Shutdown feature allows the parts to be switched on and off when needed.

The MCP1501T-25E/SN also supports a wide range of output configuration options, such as low-voltage, high-voltage, high-current, low-current, and single-or multi-rail output configurations. The MCP1501T can operate from a single supply rail of + 9V to +15V with up to ±8% tolerance, or from dual supply rails of +15V, +7V, with up to ±12% tolerance.
