MCP19119T-E/MQ is a highly integrated, low quiescent current, DC-DC switching controller with a switch current limit of up to 2 amps. The device enables a wide range of high-efficiency, low-cost, and highly integrated DC-DC solutions for power-constrained systems. It has been designed for use in a wide range of automotive, industrial, and consumer applications.MCP19119T-E/MQ voltage regulator features programmable output voltage and sense voltage range, internal compensation, input voltage range from 5 V to 28 V, adjustable current limit up to 2A, 0.5μA quiescent current, 95 dB PSRR, up to 95% efficiency, integrated oscillator and synchronous rectifier, and some preset default conditions. It is available in a low-profile automotive-qualified 6-pin TSOT package with enhanced thermal performance.

The working principle of MCP19119T-E/MQ is as follows. In the MCP19119T-E/MQ voltage regulator, a control circuit translates an analog control voltage into an on/off signal. The control circuit then turns on and off the power MOSFET switch based on the on/off signal. The current flow through the switch depends on the input and output voltage, the internal power losses, and the duty cycle set by the control circuit. The duty cycle determines how much power is transferred from the input to the output.
