MCP3909RD-1PH1 Application Field and Working Principle

The MCP3909RD-1PH1 is a 1-Phase energy metering IC solution designed for evaluation and demonstration kits and boards. It is one of the latest Microchip products incorporating a precision programmable analog front-end, high-resolution sigma-delta converters and a flexible 32-bit RISC-based microcontroller with 32KB of Flash program memory. Features

The MCP3909RD-1PH1 integrates all the functions needed for a single phase energy metering solution such as sampling, signal conditioning, harmonic processing and communication interface. The device also includes ECC error-correcting code, and is capable of operating with an extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
