Inrush Current Limiters (ICL), or Inrush Current Limiting Devices, are passive electronic components used to selectively prevent high levels of electrical current from entering power systems and other electrical circuitry during power-on or power-up conditions. MF72-010D11 is a device designed for this purpose. It has a wide range of application fields, from home appliance to industrial instrumentation.

The principle of an ICL is relatively simple and consists of two basic stages. First, the unit quickly reduces the time-delay of the incoming switch to almost zero.
