MIC2211-SSBML-TR is a high-efficiency, low-dropout linear regulator built out of a series of low-power CMOS transistors. It offers superior performance in a small, ultra-low-dropout voltage regulator with a wide operating range and minimal quiescent current. The MIC2211-SSBM-TR is optimized for low dropout voltage, constant output voltage, minimum quiescent current, and excellent load transient performance.

The MIC2211-SSBML-TR works on the principle that by adding a high-impedance voltage source to a load through a linear regulator, a stable, constant output voltage can be achieved with little power dissipation. This high-impedance voltage source, called the load line, helps to reduce the dropout voltage (VDR) of the regulator, which increases the efficiency of the circuit. The quiescent current absorbtion is reduced, enabling superb line regulation and ripple rejection while extending the battery life.
