Working Principle

The MIC2212-GMYML-TR is powered by an external power source, typically an internal or external voltage regulator. It is a three-terminal linear voltage regulator that consists of an external voltage reference, an error amplifier, a switch, and a power transistor. The power transistor then acts as a series pass transistor and is connected to the output of the device. The voltage reference establishes the output voltage level, and the error amplifier monitors the output voltage level.
