The MIC2212-GPYML-TR is a high-performance linear voltage regulator from the family of Regulators & Voltage Supervisors by Microchip Technology Inc. Once the output voltage has reached the reference voltage, the regulator’s feedback loop goes into action. It adjusts the gate voltages of the two MOSFETs by means of a voltage divider and a resistive feedback network so that the output voltage is maintained. The output voltage of the MIC2212-GPYML-TR is adjustable from 0.6V to 5V, with a voltage tolerance of 1%. The device also features a fast transient response time of 0.3ms and a low noise operation of 40μVRMS.
