Additionally, if a preset condition is met before the fault occurs, the MIC2786 will automatically power down the system and ensure that it remains off until the recommended corrective action has been taken. The MIC2786 also includes an adjustable delay time circuit (DTC), which can be used to further protect the system by delaying the response time of the MIC2786 during certain fault conditions. This time delay prevents accidental or unintentional power off or power-up by mitigating the chances of a false overvoltage or undervoltage fault occurring due to voltage surges or signals.
The MIC2786 includes ESD protection for up to 8 KV, making it suitable for use in a variety of ESD-sensitive applications. It also features internal thermal protection and a Wide Operating Temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, making it an ideal choice for a variety of power management tasks within industrial environments.
