MIC2826-A0YMT-TR Application Field and Working Principle

The MIC2826-A0YMT-TR from ON Semiconductor is a synchronous step-down DC/DC regulator, which converts an input voltage of 2.5V - 5.5V to an output voltage adjustable from 0.6V to 4.5V. The minimum input voltage of 2.5V has good adaptability to LiFePO4 battery and the output range meets the requirements of most devices such as FPGA,DSP,ASIC and microprocessor. Architecture

The MIC2826-A0YMT-TR is organized into four main blocks: high-side current sensing, error amplifier, driver circuitry and gate drivers as shown in Figure 1. The overcurrent (OC)/undervoltage (UV) protection defaults to shut down and latch off the output if the current limiting threshold is exceeded. Working Principle

The current mode PWM provides cycle-by-cycle current limit and a low output ripple.
