Working Principle

The MIC2920A-5.0BS TR is a three-terminal, low-dropout voltage regulator. At this point the output terminal is held in the regulated state. This process is commonly referred to as the “Feedback Loop” and is used by the regulator controller to control the output voltage and ensure a stable output voltage.

The MIC2920A-5.0BS TR also features several additional features that enhance its performance. These features include: an additional current limit function to protect the device against short-term overloads, a thermal shut-down feature to protect the device against long-term overloads, and an on-board enable logic to facilitate power sequencing.
