RF Receivers

The MICRF008YM is a type of ultra-low power RF receiver that combines low current consumption with excellent reception performance. Working principle

The MICRF008YM is an RF receiver that operates in the 2.4GHz ISM Band. It is composed of a low noise amplifier, an active mixer, and a high gain linear amplifier with a selectable gain control. The low noise amplifier (LNA) amplifies the signal prior to it being mixed with the Local Oscillator (LO). The active mixer then down-mixes the signal to an audio frequency up to 32kHz. The output signal is then passed through the high gain linear amplifier which is used to set the gain level. The gain is adjustable to optimize the sensitivity of the receiver for different requirements.
