The MID400SDV is a versatile optoisolator with logic output. A number of common logic levels can be selected for control, enabling a wide variety of applications. With its low power consumption, it is ideal for systems that require constant monitoring of signal levels while maintaining isolated data and power supplies.The MID400SDV is a self-contained, compact, CMOS compatible optoisolator with an integrated LED. It has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 C, a wide operating voltage range of 3V-30V, and an output voltage swing of 0 - 12V. It can handle input signals from 0 - 5V and has a typical voltage accuracy of + 4% droop.The MID400SDV utilizes a direct drive photocoupler that functions as an isolator between the control circuit and the output signal. The integrated LED provides optical coupling between the input and output side of the optoisolator and enables low power drain during long periods of standby. The frequency response of the optoisolator is optimized for high speed applications; it can register even brief input signals up to a maximum frequency of 2 MHz, without absent a microsecond of signal output.One of the primary benefits of using the MID400SDV is its versatility and ability to drive directly from transistor to transistor logic (TTL) and Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) circuits. Applications of the optoisolator in automotive, industrial, and consumer products make it an attractive choice for control systems in a variety of settings.In addition to its low power consumption, the MID400SDV has long-term isolation, which ensures data and power supply signals remain isolated and prevents noise induced problems caused by ground loops.
