As such, the MJN2C-AC24 is highly effective at reducing the possibility of system glitches in the event of an abrupt cut in power. To achieve this, the latching mechanism operates in two parts—the first being the latching magnet, and the second being the normally open contacts. When the contacts are activate the latching magnet pulls in, and the contacts close. When the contacts are deactivated the latching magnet is released and the contacts open. This creates an extremely durable yet simple switching system.

The MJN2C-AC24 is built with an IP protection grade of IP50, ensuring it is well protected from dust and liquid splashing without attacking the electrical characteristics. It also has excellent heat dissipation AC contact ratings, being capable of dealing with a whopping 5 kW of power at 277VAC or 30A. Moreover, they also feature dry contact rated voltage of 250VAC, 1A, 1.0-2.0mm contact gap, protect grade of AIP (Applied Insulation Protection) and 110VDC coil ratings.
