MK2058 series Clock & Frequency Synthesizers are designed for use in a wide range of applications including test and measurements, medical imaging, consumer electronics, infrastructure and telecommunication systems. This device offers a low-power, low-cost, low-jitter alternative to other clock generation solutions. The MK2058 is a single chip, high-precision frequency synthesizer that utilizes a PLL (Phase Locked Loop) for locking a reference clock to an external reference.The MK2058-01SITR is a general-purpose low-power low-jitter frequency synchronizer designed for use in a wide range of applications. The MK2058-01SITR utilizes a highly integrated design consisting of a Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO), a Frequency Synthesis Controller (FSC) and a Charge Pump. This chip is able to generate a higher frequency output signal than conventional frequency synthesizers with a lower power consumption. The chip is also highly optimized for low-jitter applications.The PLL logic in the MK2058-01SITR consists of a phase detector and a voltage-controlled oscillator, which provides a low power and low jitter solution for many applications. The phase detector compares the frequency of the input clock signal and the reference signal, then adjusts the frequency of the output signal accordingly. In addition, the charge pump enables a fast and accurate frequency-matched response by adjusting the DC offset on the output VCO to compensate for any mismatch between the two signals.The FSC module in the MK2058-01SITR consists of a fixed-frequency oscillator (FFO) and a phase detector. The FFO operates with a fixed frequency reference, providing low phase-noise operation. The phase detector compares the frequency of the reference clock to the frequency of the output signal and adjusts the frequency of the VCO accordingly. The FSC also implements a phase-locked loop (PLL) to maintain synchronization between the reference signal and the output signal.The MK2058-01SITR provides adjustable output frequencies from 200kHz to 1GHz and adjustable PLL bandwidths from 0.1kHz to 200kHz. The MK2058-01SITR is ideal for many applications including WiFi, Bluetooth and cellular base stations, automotive infotainment systems, portable medical devices, frequency modulation, signal modulation and signal conditioning.The MK2058-01SITR offers very low power consumption and the possibility of working in both master and slave modes. The chip is also very small in size and uses a low-noise crystal for an accurate frequency output. The device also works with a wide supply voltage range of 3.3V to 5V and a wide temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.The combination of low power consumption, high frequency output and high accuracy makes the MK2058-01SITR the ideal solution for many applications. This device provides a low-cost, low-jitter, low-power solution for many clock generation needs.
