The MK9173-15CS08T is suitable for a wide range of applications and can provide exceptional performance and stability in timing, clocking, data acquisition, and communications applications.The MK9173-15CS08T has two main sections, the clock generator and the PLL Frequency synthesizer. The clock generator is designed to generate clock signals, synchronized to an input reference clock. The clock generator can generate two separate sources of clock signals with different frequencies, both with programmable frequency and phase, as well as adjustable power levels. The PLL frequency synthesizer is designed to produce a wide range of accurate and stable frequencies from a single reference source.The MK9173-15CS08T offers a wide range of frequency synthesis capabilities and can generate frequencies from 10MHz up to 1GHz with an unusually low jitter (<50ps). The output signals can be programmed in frequency, duty cycle, and phase, with an adjustable supply voltage range of 1.2V to 3.3V.The clock generator and the PLL frequency synthesizer are both highly integrated into a single, monolithic IC and are designed to be easily configurable to different applications, with features such as center frequency, VCO gain and charge pumps, tracking, modulation and spreading.
