The MOC3022SR2VM is a zero-cross MOSFET opto-coupler designed for these applications. The MOC3022SR2VM opto-isolator contains a phototriac driver and is packaged in an 8-pin DIP and is designed to interface directly with a wide range of AC and DC loads. Inside, the Coupler contains an infra-red emitting diode optically coupled with a zero-cross MOSFET driver, giving complete isolation of the control side from the load side. The MOSFET\'s gate is triggered at the zero-crossing point eliminating the need for a Zener diode, thus making this isolator highly efficient. By triggering at a specific exact point in the cycle, device will produce zero-switching loss resulting in poor Eco friendly performance with better EMI. In addition, the LEDs have a very low leakage and low on-voltage.

The MOC3022SR2VM can optically isolate signals up to 200V rms input voltage and it can easily switch AC loads up to 2A and DC loads up to 1A. Moreover, the MOC3022SR2VM has a wide input signal range of 3V to 40V and a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to 110°C making it suitable for a variety of applications.
