It consists of a 6-pin DIP optically coupled to a triac. Working Principle

MOC3061TM optoisolators employ a special LED infrared light to transmit data signals from the input side (A) to the output side (C). The LED is sensitive to the supply voltage on the anode of the optoisolator and can be triggered with a minimum drive of 1mA. The output is connected to a Triac, meaning that the output current can be precisely controlled by adjusting the input current, which in turn could be done by adjusting the LED emission intensity. The LED is designed to emit infrared light when it is triggered and the light is then optically coupled with a Triac to fire it. The Triac then triggers the load circuit and this process repeats itself.
