MOC8112300 is an optically isolated NPN output transistor in a 4pin SOP/DIP package. It is designed on Galvanic Isolation Principle. It has wide range of applications in industrial automation, communication, automotive and medical applications.The main function of the MOC8112300 is to reduce the electric noise and transients between an input circuit and an output circuit, while still providing electrical isolation.The MOC8112300 uses optical isolation for this purpose. The device consists of two LED, one for the input and the other for the output.When the device is powered on, the input LED is illuminated by the external signal which turns on the output transistor and provides the electrical isolation between the input and output circuits. The output circuit is connected to the output transistor. The output current is determined by the input and output specifications. The maximum output current of the MOC8112300 is 500mA.The MOC8112300 is highly efficient and stable. It is also able to provide electrical isolation up to 5000VRMS between input and output.
