MP1499GD-P Application Field and Working Principle
The MP1499GD-P is a DC DC switching regulator specifically designed to provide support to high-voltage applications such as white-LED displays and LCD panel backlighting.It’s an advanced regulator featuring with high-frequency operation and four-level demarcation control.In addition, its integrated high-accuracy reference voltage and one active-low pulse skip mode make it suitable for high-voltage output ripple reduction.
The application field of MP1499GD-P falls into four categories, firstly, mobile computing；Secondly，display monitors；Thirdly, security system or industrial machines；Finally, digital communication equipment.Therefore, this switching regulator is applicable to many switching voltage convert world.
The MP1499GD-P belongs to a family of DC DC switching regulators. It converts the input voltage into a different output voltage. The regulator simply switches the current flow in order to alter the voltage and stay away from intolerable losses. The basic operating principal of a switching regulator is to store energy from the input source in some kind of energy storage device like an inductor, then grab energy from the storage device and send to the output terminal. During the energy storage and transfer periods, the switching current suggests high frequency oscillation between low and high state. As a result, its frequency parameter needs to be pre-set. When we look closer, the inductor supplies output current and the input is supplied by internal switch, its frequency is usually from 500kHz to 5MHz. The efficiency is high because it avoids energy loss in low-power moment.
