THROUGH HOLE RESISTORS
Through hole resistors are electrical components that have two through-hole leads and a body filled with a resistive element. Through hole resistors are used to limit electric current and regulate voltage levels in electrical circuits. The working principle of the MP2060-200-1% through hole resistor is based on Ohm’s Law, which states that voltage and current are related by a constant of resistance, and that voltage is directly proportional to current when resistance remains constant. The resistor works by providing a barrier to the flow of current, thus limiting the amount of current that passes through it. As the resistance value of the resistor increases, the current passing through it decreases. This allows the resistor to limit the load current in the circuit and adjust the voltage level to the appropriate value.
The MP2060-200-1% through hole resistor is made up of two metal plates separated by a guard ring which prevents the metal plates from contacting each other.
