The MP2324GJ-P is a dual-channel synchronous buck regulator, which belongs to the DC-DC switching regulators of PMIC, or power management integrated circuits. It is suitable for both mobile devices and other high power applications with wide input voltage ranges including Li-ion, Li-polymer, three-cell NiCd/NiMH, and single-cell Alkaline/NIMH batteries. Each channel supports an external P-Channel MOSFET and can provide up to 5A output current. To detect the output stability, the MP2324GJ-P supports both Power-On-Reset and brown-out reset. The MP2324GJ-P also offers high accuracy tolerance of 0.8% for both channels, allowing a stable voltage output even under line and load conditions.The working principle of the MP2324GJ-P is simple and efficient. During Normal mode, the internal logic keeps the PathA MOSFET on and the PathB MOSFET off. The Vcc supply is then connected to the inductor, charging the output capacitor. The PathA MOSFET starts to turn off once the voltage at the output capacitor is greater than the reference voltage. During Suspend mode, the MP2324GJ-P\'s internal logic keeps PathA and PathB MOSFETs off. This reduces the input supply current consumption and retains the stored energy in the output capacitor.The MP2324GJ-P is a handy and convenient to use regulator, which offers a range of protection features such as an Over Voltage protection (OVP) and Thermal Shutdown (TSD). The OVP keeps the output voltage within the required range, and the TSD prevents any power dissipation caused due to system temperature.
