Working Principle

An Error Amplifier is then used to compare the error signal with the set-point (OVP/OCP level). The error part analog signal is then use for phase compensator to give optimized phase relationship between input supply and output load. Next, an oscillator (which can set from 400 kHz to 1 MHz) is used to provide the switching frequency of MP38873DL-LF-P.

The oscillator signal will then pass through the Driver section, the Driver section will compare the oscillator signal with the voltage reference voltage and then output the Vsence signal to control the on/off time of the integrated N-channel MOSFET. Once all the components and signals are connected correctly, the MP38873DL-LF-P will be able to provide efficient power conversion.
