It provides a low-capacitance (25 pF typical) discrete solution for the protection of high-speed data interface lines, such as USB, FireWire™, HDMI, DVI, and VGA. It offers two types of protection, a low-clamping voltage for low-speed applications and a high clamping voltage for high-speed data line applications.The MP6KE130CA is a low-capacitance transient voltage suppressor diode. It\'s designed to protect high speed data interface circuits from excessive transient voltages induced by ESD (electrostatic discharge), EFT (electrical fast transients) and other high-energy transients. The device provides a highly efficient and reliable solution to protect data lines and other sensitive circuits that cannot tolerate large surge voltage spikes.The working principle of MP6KE130CA is based on a nonlinear conduction of current through the diode junction. The Zener breakdown voltage and the PN junction of the diode form the basis of the protection mechanism. When an incoming transient voltage (electrical fast transients) or an EFT (electromagnetic fields) is applied to the diode, the PN junction is forward biased, allowing current to flow. This current causes a voltage drop across the Zener breakdown voltage, thus limiting the voltage entering the protected circuit.
