1. Describe

MP9485 is a high voltage step-down switching regulator that can provide up to 0.5A of current to the load. It integrates a high-side, high-voltage power MOSFET with a typical current limit of 1.0A. The wide input range of 4.5V to 100V is suitable for various step-down applications, making it ideal for automotive, industrial and lighting applications. Adopt hysteresis voltage mode control to achieve very fast response. MPS's proprietary feedback control scheme minimizes the number of external components required. The switching frequency can be up to 2MHz to support small-sized components. Thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection (SCP) provide reliable and fault-tolerant operation. The 170µA quiescent current allows MP9485 to be used in battery-powered applications. MP9485 is available in SOIC-8 package with exposed pad.
