The MPC8313E-RDB evaluation board is designed to evaluate the Freescale PowerQUICC III MPC8313E integrated communications processors. The board includes the processor, SDRAM, large SRAM, Dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, 4 serial ports, CompactFlash Socket and two USB 2.0 ports, providing almost all the hardware needed for system evaluation and development.

The MPC8313E-RDB is compact in size and has an open board architecture and debugging interface for easy evaluations and development. By utilizing the on-board embedded Linux development platform, developers can rapidly evaluate and begin software develop to this system. The MPC8313E device incorporates a PowerQUICC III processor core that is based on the enhanced PowerPC processor architecture. It also includes two 10/100/1000 Ethernet MACs, an external interface controller, two UARTs, two I2C, two SPI, four DMA controllers, two Timers and a programmable clock. The processor is scalable with supporting dynamic clock frequency scaling, power management, and dynamic memory pin control.

The MPC8313E-RDB base board includes the MPC8313E processor, 256 MB of SDRAM memory, 64 MB of SRAM memory, Two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports, Four RS232 port, One Compact Flash socket, Two USB 2.0 ports and a Debug port. It also includes the Freescale PD1 device to monitor the temperature. There is also an expansion connector which can be used to connect a daughter board. The board is powered by 12V DC.

The MPC8313E-RDB board has an open board architecture and integrates the hardware and tools needed for developing embedded applications.
