The MPC905EFR2 clock buffer and driver is designed to help mitigate EMI radiation and supply noise. The die passes the European Union requirements for the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) and is fabricated with Advanced Ceramic Substrates (ACS). The package is lead-free and RoHS-compliant.

The MPC905EFR2 is an integrated, low-power, single-to-quad buffer/driver. It is a high-performance clock tree bi-directional buffer clocking up to 52 MHz and is ideal for buffering differential data. The MPC905EFR2 buffer/driver supports both single-ended input and differential input clocks for applications requiring robust noise reduction and high-speed performance.

MPC905EFR2 can buffer differential inputs from a Vi transformer, or from the output of a voltage- or current-mode switched-capacitor clock driver.
