The electrical contacts are rated up to 5 A and 24 V AC/DC and suitable for both AC/DC power circuits and signalling circuits.The electrical contacts are arranged such that a slight push on the actuator closes one pair of contacts whilst opening another pair, permitting multiple on/off functions to be achieved by each switch. Contacts can also be used for other circuits such as indicator lights, buzzers and timers.The switch body is designed to prevent accidental pressing of the actuator and to protect the contacts from external influences. It incorporates a dustproof and water resistant seal to ensure that switch performance is maintained even in harsh and difficult environments.The MPI001/FL/AM/24 has an operating temperature range of -25°C to +70°C and provides a minimum of 200,000 mechanical operations and 50,000 electrical operations. It can be used with either panel-mounting or through-body-mounting depending on the application.The circuitry of the MPI001/FL/AM/24 is simple and reliable. The electrical circuit consists of two pairs of contacts, one pair of NO contacts and one pair of NC contacts, which are closed or open upon the actuation of the switch. The NO contacts are provided with a 5 A rating, whereas the NC contacts are rated at 8 A.When the actuator is pushed the NO contacts close, creating a conductive path for current to flow from the supply to the load. Conversely, the NC contacts open, breaking the circuit between the supply and the load.
