The MSC7115VM1000 consists of two major components, the processor core and the FlexRay™ transceivers. The processor core is based on the ColdFire® V1 core and is capable of achieving a maximum frequency of 66MHz. The core features an on-chip accelerator and an optimized harvesting controller, allowing it to achieve maximum efficiency in both applications with high processing demand and applications with low power consumption. The FlexRay™ transceivers integrates two nodes in one chip and supports both synchronous and asynchronous communications. It is optimized for data transmission in automotive applications, such as Automatic Headlight Control (AHC). The FlexRay™ transceivers can reach data rate of up to 40 MB/s, and it supports both point-to-point and multi-point topologies with an international standard protocol.In addition, the MSC7115VM1000 can also be used for applications requiring high performance signal processing capabilities. It integrates a powerful dual-loop fractal noise reduction core and an enhanced signal processing chain for spectral analysis, audio enhancement, and audio signal post-processing.
