The MSC8101M1500F is an embedded digital signal processor (DSP) designed for use in the medical industry, specifically for "ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging applications." It is based on Motorola\'s popular MCT family of microprocessors, and contains over 500 million gate equivalents of embedded DSP functions.
