DSPs are capable of transforming signals from analog to digital to provide much more accuracy and resolution than an analog system. The MSC8154SAG1000B is a highly integrated System on Chip (SoC) DSP from Freescale Semiconductor that combines a floating-point High Performance Digital Signal Processor (HP-DSP) and an ARM Cortex-A5 core on a single chip.
