MSP430FR69221IPMR is a cost-effective, 16-bit ultra-low-power nano controller designed for a wide range of Medical, Industrial, agriculture and automotive applications. It is the latest addition to the MSP430FR 6xx family and the first device to support the integrated Power Management technology, which can combine energy harvesting with efficient power management to reduce system power and maximize performance. The MSP430FR69221IPMR is based on a 16-bit RISC architecture and features an 8 KB+ integrated flash memory, up to 256 bytes of RAM, up to 20 I/Os, up to 10 x 10 bit analog-to-digital converters (ADC), up to four channels of Direct Memory Access (DMA), up to four capture/compare/PWM modules, a real time clock (RTC), a programmable clock module (PCM), a reset generator, and a Low-Power Mode with high-efficiency power management.
The device\'s low power consumption makes it ideal for both portable and wearable applications, where long battery life is essential. The integrated Power Management technology enables the device to optimize energy consumption, enable long operating times and reduce system size. The MSP430FR69221IPMR also has robust protection schemes such as triple word write protection, selectable boot strap resistors, and environmental protection from electrostatic discharge (ESD), over temperature, and Overvoltage. The memory protection technology helps mitigate the effects of a malicious code attack in sensitive system designs. In addition, the device supports a wide variety of third party tools and software, including DaVision Studio and IAR embedded workbench.
