MSQ6940C

MSQ6940C is a high brightness, high contrast 9-digit LED system module developed by Kingbright. It consists of a 9-segment positive mode manual adjustable character and multiplexed numeric display module. It is a low power consumption display device mainly used for microprocessor applications. In order to meet the requirements of different applications in different environments, this product has two versions: standard temperature (T) grade (operating temperature: -40℃ to 85℃) and wide temperature (W) grade (operating temperature: -20℃ to 70℃).The main application of MSQ6940C is use in office automation, communication, instrumentation, automotive, transportation and audio equipment. As the module is connected to either a single power supply or separated power supply and ground pins, it can be used in various digital circuits and analog circuits. Not only can MSQ6940C be connected to the common three blocks digital or analog circuits, it can also be connected to 40 mA circuit.The main working principle of MSQ6940C is that each of its 9 segments contains two LED elements, one for common anode segment and one for common cathode segment. The display of each segment is achieved by turning on one of the anode or cathode levels. For example, the number “1” is formed by turning on the top left LED element, which is the common anode segment for this digit. When the common anode segment is turned on, the LED element connected to it lights up and displays the corresponding number.For the multiplexed numeric display, the LED element in each segment is turned on by pulse-width modulating the common anode and cathode levels, allowing the display to show a number while still maintaining the same segment brightness and contrast. The MSQ6940C contains an internal IC which controls the power supply to the LED elements and can be programmed by an external software to adjust the display brightness.In addition, MSQ6940C also comes with other features such as reverse voltage protection, over-temperature protection, dithering waveform control, phase interference waveform control, and ghost elimination enhancement circuit.
